Title: Maxwell symmetries in three space-time dimensions
Abstract: The Maxwell group is the symmetry of particle systems moving in a constant electromagnetic field. This symmetry can be formally described by extending the definition of semi-direct product groups. In 2+1 space-time dimensions, such extension allows one to define interesting infinite-dimensional generalizations of the Maxwell group. The geometric actions associated to these infinite-dimensional symmetries lead to Maxwell-invariant Wess-Zumino models, which might be relevant in the description of some low-dimensional physical systems.
